My husband and I do not celebrate Valentines Day. To us it is a forced holiday that has no real meaning. We are kind and loving to one another 365 days a year and share special gifts when we want rather than on 14 Feb.

What about you?

I SO AGREE WITH YOU. I GUESS IT WAS FUN TO CELEBRATE IN THE BEGINNING OF THE RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE GIFTS WERENT BOUGHT ALL THE TIME AND IT WAS FUN TO BRAG TO FRIENDS ABOUT ALL THE GOOD GIFTS OR THAT NICE DIAMOND NOW AFTER THE RELATIONSHIP GOT DEEPER THOSE GIFTS DONT MATTER DURING B-DAYS CHRISTMAS VALENTINES OR ANN. ITS JUST ANOTHER DAY NOW I WOULD LIKE AT LEAST A CARD OR A LETTER BECAUSE THOSE THING MAKE ME FALL DEEPER IN LOVE OH AND THAT RING YOU KNOW AND TO HERE THE WORDS WILL YOU MARRY ME!!!

I completely agree with you - My husband and I do the same exact thing! In fact, I just bought him a Chicago Bears shirt and hat to celebrate their victory and surprised him on a random Wednesday with the gift! We don't feel we should have to wait for a special holiday to celebrate our love and appreciation for one another! (Same goes for Sweetest Day and any other "fake" Hallmark holidays)

Everyday.

Valentine's Day is too commercial and I agree, it is forced, as you said.
