For the heck of it, if you sent a friend invitation to a person who passed away, and your friend invitation was accepted, and you were added to that persons Myspace friends list, would that scare you.

It's a paradox, because I think, in my opinion, that social networking should help someone meet NEW people, not just connect with the people they already know. Of course, as you mentioned, there are a lot of fake profiles, but Myspace has an edge on Facebook as far as meeting new people. Of course, Facebook is more sincere, so if you get added or add someone there, it is more legit. I think both are a farce, really. I've used both for thouands of hours. Neither will change a life. Well, maybe some life. Not mine. I've heard of more than one marriage via Myspace, and at least one murder. I haven't heard of either one from Facebook, but again... Facebook is more about connecting with people you already know. It's a lot harder to do that when you can only put your real name. I remember on Myspace that people would put nicknames, codenames, street names, and even symbols as their name. Like I said, Facebook is more serious, and definitely overtaken Myspace as far as numbers are concerned. What Facebook has achieved that Myspace didn't really achieve is that it catered to an almost 100% diverse age demographic.

not really, I'd laugh but probably figure that someone else is now managing the account, probably a friend or something who had their password and stuff. thats funny though.
