I don't see why not. Yes, there are jerkwads on this planet who live only for their own gains but as Anne Franke said "In spite of everything, I still believe people are truly good at heart". Surely the kind hearted outnumber the jerks.

I don't think it's as important to know whether or not it will continue or go anywhere once the good deed is done, but whether or not you'd still be willing to do it anyway KNOWING it would stop right there. That's what makes people extraordinary.

one time at work some lady paided for the people in front of her when there card declined and explained how someone had done it for her juer a few days befor! so it somewhat passes on, but i doubt it goes very far.
