I am a very simple person who doesn't really get impressed very easily with million dollar homes, nice cars etc. Last night my mom told me I'd be getting a income tax refund of about $500.00 which is great considering that's half of what I make in a month. But this morning I woke up & found a note from my 14 year daughter saying I love you mom, have a nice day & that just made my day so much more than the $500.00. Am I weird or does anyone else as simple as me?

you are one smart cookie and i totally agree. i always said if i cant take it with me i dont need it. to me my life means more than just having better than the neighbors.and when my daughter tells me im the best mommy in the world thats priceless and thats what my life means to me. if i die tomarrow and just know i was a good person and mom thats good enough for me.even if i was to win lotto i would never be the one to flaunt it. i would still live a nice comfortable life dont get me wrong i might have to treat us to a disney cruise

I'm proud to see you have your priorities correct. Love is the best. When we near the end of life it will be the love that counts, not the money we made. God bless you. I hope you are a believer!

Simplistic people tend to be impressed with what things are on the surface, and don't have the insightfulness to see other value in things. this does not make you simplistic.
