I'm surpised at the answers on here. A 7-month-old doesn't know any difference between sitting and playing at home and sitting and playing on a set! My son modeled for several years and has his college paid for and then some because of it, and he's only 4!

Anyway, here is a government website that can help steer you in the right direction. It has some good guidelines. http://www.consumer.state.ny.us/modeling_scams.htm

If I were you, I would first and foremost ask around. If you know of other parents who have their children into modeling, ask them to recommend someone. Be sure to look up any agency on the BBB, and if you make it to interviews, ask for a client list. If anything, haul out the yellow pages and start cold-calling. Check out their websites and see if they seem reputable.

Good luck

Go to any large newstand in NYC and buy a copy of The Ross Reports. It lists talent agencies. If any agency represents kids, it will be in The Ross Reports.

7 months? a bit early isn't it? why not just rip the child's entire life away from under it's feet...

give the kid it's chance of being a child...

then think about things like this...

Is there something wrong with allowing your baby to just be a child?
