There is eyedrops especially for red eyes, but my eye doctor says they are not good for your eyes.
I look at a computer screen all day, and I have the same problem, and I just press cold water on my eyes throughout the day. This seems to relieve the redness and soothe them, because they get dry.
That seems to help me.

Visine is not a good thing to use often or long term... it's only for the random days when you don't get enough sleep, and any decent optometrist will warn you about it. I agree with Rich, I'd try the opcon A, and if you're up for homeopathic stuff, I'd try the teabags as well, unless the redness is caused from staring at your computer screen for too long, which sounds ridiculous, but it can really irritate your eyes.
If you're a contact lens wearer, you should already know Visine will damage your contacts. If not, now you know.

well there is usually a reason that they are bloodshot. Either dryness, infection, or from another drop that you take. The drops that take the red out like visine are horrible drops. They will make your eyes more red after you stop them. I would see your eye doctor and ask why they are always red.

Bloodshot eyes can occur from a number of reasons. Yes they could possibly occur from this situation but always remember-there are at least 100 other reasons this could happen including one that you shouldn't even be concerned about-not enough sleep! But yes it could occur.

Something that works very well for this is to wash your eyelid pores, sounds strange...use a tiny amount of baby shampoo and with a Q-tip apply to your eyelid, rinse off. This will help, also use only eye drops that a for moisturizing, some of them are too strong or contain things that just make them worse.

There sure is. It is called clear eyes in Australia not sure where you are from. Go to your local pharmacist and ask them at the counter. There are different eye drops for different things so be sure to ask and you'll have your problem fixed in no time!

there are eye drops especially for red eyes, but an old trick my grandma used to use was putting teabags on her eyes. it's nothing scientifically proven, but it's helped me in the past
