And what, exactly, defines one? Does "telling it like it is" or being blunt, automatically make you a person with a bad attitude?

Yea so it's not a LGBT specific question, but I post relevant questions & answers here all the time so just work with me here on this one. Thanks!!

No, I get aggravated but I'm not a grouch. Some people are blunt for good reasons, like telling someone who needs the criticism how it is, when no one else wants to do it. People who care about what others think of them like to put on a nice persona so leave the critiquing to those who won't care about the back lash they get from people who think they are being rude. There's a difference between being blunt and straight forward than just being a complete jerk.

Although you didn't say so, I kind of suspect you have been accused of having a bad attitude because you tell it like it is or give blunt answers to questions. Maybe I'm wrong, and if so, I apologize. Your question was actually, "Do YOU have a bad attitude?" Well, sometimes I do, so I have to work at improving it. I usually come on this site with a good attitude, but some of the questions and answers on here hit my "bad attitude" button, if you know what I mean.

A person with a bad attitude generally is a negative individual, and always sees the bad side of things. People who give direct answers, or what may be construed as "blunt" answers, do not generally have a bad attitude -- they are just being truthful. If this is you, then the only thing I would suggest is to still be up front with your answers, but soften them a little bit by saying something like "Good luck", or "Thanks for writing" at the end, which illustrates the fact that you do care and want to help. (Jeez, here I am giving away my trade secrets) Anyhow, good luck, and thanks for writing.....(I really mean it!)

My outward attitude is pretty good. I prefer not to make people feel bad so I will not hurt a or insult a person easily.I can tell you EXACTLY how I feel about you or something you did without being mean or unnecessarily harsh.

My inner thoughts can be a problem.I self- censor pretty good though , so I don't get in much trouble.

I define a bad attitude as a person who goes around being negative all the time and never has nothing good to say about anybody or anything.

Yes i can have a bad attitude towards people who try to belittle someone for not being of there perception of normal.
I do have a bad attitude if someone is mean to my kids
I have a bad attitude if someone laughs about all the people who were killed during the witching craze
Im human i can get a bad attitude if im pms
one persons perception of my attitude maybe seen as bad whilst another sees my attitude as just
I speak my mind i refuse to lie but i hate to hurt peoples feelings when possible so if asked if someones butt looks big in something i will say yes but it looks great in something else
my friends would rather have me this way then the other and im happy being me at last

I sure do have one.
I think the definition of a bad attitude is someone who puts a negative spin on everything.
You see, there is always "telling it like it is" in a positive light. Some people go through life perfectly happy without seeing the worst in everything.
What I am saying is, if your perspective is always harsh, that is not always the best approach. Try "telling it like it is" in a way that is more challenging, like seeing the good in all things.
How will THAT change a bad attitude? Hmmm?

Me?! Never. Why I'm the very soul of compassion and grace.
Having said that I do break balls on people now and again.
Definition, hmmm, let's see. I guess a negative personality type.
No bluntness is not expressly negative it's just direct. It is often lacking in tact but that is no accident.
An example of a bad attitude is Lulu or one of it's other alter egos that spends so much time in here in a futile attempt to disrupt our happy gathering of quid pro quo.

No, i am usually a happy person and willing to work with a lot of ppl but don't get me wrong I can get a bad attitude very quick if I wanted to. I am a Scorpio and can hold my tongue but only for so long then you better watch out.

No, I think being honest is a good thing if you're not intentionally hurting someones feelings. Plus I can't imagine you having a bad attitude, I personally like your attitude. You take no crap from anyone & I think that's an admirable trait.

I try to be as honest as I can be without hurting someones feelings.I love everyone no matter what they say or do.if a girl says how does my hair look and I dont think it looks good i am not going to hurt her feelings by saying your hair looks bad.But if someone asks me are you depressed and anxious I'm not going to lie and say i feel fine.I used to do that. but not no more.I hurt and i am going to answer that question honestly. But i have the best attitude that i am capable of having considering what i am going through.

I think I do...actually, I think everyone does at some extent. Most of the time "telling it like it is" is just honesty. Though, other times, yes, it could mean that you have a bad attitude.
