What should I do if my HR manager asked me did I need help buying clothes we recently enforced a dress code here and it really started the end of 2006. The other lady here never dressed up and basically told him all she had was jeans so that's all she got. We recently had a performance reivew and he graded me a 2 of of 1-5 and I dressed up wayyyyyyyy more than the other lady here and she got a 4 . What should I do? she was graded better because she kiss a*** basically and I don't he gave me points on what occured this week with the missing ups package which was my fault and all help!

If it makes you feel any better, my ex-boss (at the crappy mortgage company where I used to work) gave me an average mark on appearance because I wore long skirts that were in style. He gave my co-worker, who dressed like a whore needing crack money, a 5.
No real point in running the whole thing past Catbert, evil director of HR.

Human resources. You are part of a company function that is responsible for attracting, grooming, and maintaining human and employee resources. If your manager is a detriment to any or all of those mentioned above. You need to tell him. Make sure you know what you're going to say and why.

HR people are truly a breed apart.
I think you generally get there by slipping the knife into
someone's back enough to get noticed by the boss.
I had 1 good HR person, the others were.... not good.
The very name, human resources sounds like we are
trees for lumber or something!

Sounds like you need to calm down and concentrate on your job.
There's no point in comparing how you got rated with how someone else got rated. If you do your job and follow the rules, you can complain if you are not evaluated fairly. But you can't use someone else's evaluation as the basis of a complaint.

mine is stupid as hell and is never at work. whenever you email him or call you get an auto-reply or a voice mail that says he is out and on vacation. out of the entire year he comes to work about 10 days.
