Easy Off Spray Cleaner is pretty good stuff. I also use that on my outdoor Grill.
Spray it on, let it set for 10-15 minutes, scrub a bit and then rinse/wipe off.

Here's an environmentally friendly method taken from the Guardian newspaper a couple of days ago:
"The oven
In three years, my oven has never been cleaned. I tried once, about a year ago. I sprayed too much Mr Muscle into it, creating meringue-like peaks, and it made me wheeze and cough. I had to have a lie down and I never attempted it again.
This time I add a big glug of vinegar to a cup of salt and a cup of bicarbonate of soda. It fizzes gratifyingly. I scrub for a bit, then get bored. I go back an hour later for more scrubbing. The inside is much cleaner but I can't get the inside of the window to gleam. Still, it's clean enough, it doesn't give me a headache and I'm not wheezing."
Sorry I didn't keep the web link.
I haven't tried putting it in a spray yet.

i'm sitting right here ideal now with straight forward off on my black range precise. I spray it on there and go away it for style of 30 to forty minutes then scrub it off with a moist wash fabric and a few dish cleansing soap. finally after it is all wiped clean off, i positioned some windex on my range and wipe it off with a paper towel. Tada! It seems super. The trick is to apply windex or another sort window cleanser, not in basic terms something like multi floor cleanser. The windex makes it modern shine.

I am in the cleaning business and here is our secret!
We have basically replaced windex, paper towels etc. with this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I even waxed my car with it! I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out.
