Not at all.

"Conservatives" have not help the White House since Reagan left office. Bush I conservative? Ha. Bush II conservative? Surely you jest.

The "let's renew a crappy law (No Child Left Behind) interfering in education, let's go for universal health coverage, let's invade pre-emptively another country, let's cut taxes WITHOUT cutting programs, let's expand the government by creating a Dept of Homeland Security, lets grossly expand Medicare" administration we have now is not conservative. Heck, Harriet Miers would have been on the Supreme Court without the conservatives raising heck.

I think conservatives don't know the real reason they lost. That is why they are in danger.

Likewise, the dems may have a skewed idea of why they won. 2008 will be interesting.

They are in some trouble. Besides the fact that America is becoming more liberal, they also have Bush destroying the party single-handedly.
