Who wrote the play that later became a movie, "A Member of the Wedding"?

Julie Harris and Ethel Waters were in the movie. Julie Harris also had the primary part in the play. Thsi is about a 12 year old girl and her brother's wedding. She believes that she will be lilving with the brother and new wife.

Carson McCullers. It was a novel of the same name, not a play.
