I was trying to staple my paper and it wouldn't staple so I opened up my staple and a spring and a white piece came out of it.

I am looking at my stapler now.

What you need to do is:

There is a small bevel on the topside of the stapler, inside.
There are loops on the ends of the spring.
Loop the spring into the bevel on the top of the stapler.

Now, there is a little part that protrudes on the BOTTOM of the white piece. Make sure this little knob is facing DOWN.
Loop the spring through that little "finger" on the bottom of the white piece.

Now, there are tracks inside of the stapler, where the staples would go--

Try to get the white piece back into the track.

You should be good to go...

it may sound crude but take a flat head jewlers screw driver with the staple feed out, and jam the screwdriver in there and "root around". sometimes you get a staple that mis-feeds and jams. if that dosent's work "snap" the staple drive in a few times and it might alighn the troublesom staple, and discharge, or allow it to be discharged. if that dosen't work... cross your legs and hit it against the heel of your boot 2-40 times (the more the more frustrated), load a full bar of staples, and try it. Both of the ones you have are good products, so more than likely, it's a staple you may not be able to see.

Your question is harder to solve on the internet. Replace the thing that slipped out and it should be fine.
