Well, I am not going to be rude but I am going to tell you you should always use some form of birth control. There is never really a best time not to get pregnant. Because I have found I don't always ovulate at the same time. And sperm can live for 5-7 days. So use protection if you don't want to get pregnant.

Just use a condom. But if you really want to learn about your body and when it ovulates you can use charting methods or fertility awareness methods. Just search them on google. This only works if you have a regular cycle. Most people use them for trying to get pregnant but you can use it the opposite way too.
