Unfortunately, PC game rental is not possible because of the ease with which the software could be pirated. Games are available to rent for consoles because, even though they are also pirate-able, the consoles themselves have anti-piracy measures which do not allow the playback of copied material. Perhaps, if software companies come out with a reliable means of deterring intellectual property theft, their methods of distribution could include rentals.

No because that's retarded. If you RENT a computerr game you obviously have to download it on your hard drive. Then you basically just bought the game at a price of simply renting one. Or if you're talking about a game that requires a disc to run as well, then I highly doubt such a service to exist.
