I only ever look away if it is something to do with fingernails being ripped off - I can watch everything else.

Well no i don't shield my eyes, i just carry on watching it no matter how bad it gets, love it when i'm shocked or i see a scene where my jaw hits the floor in horror. make me want to watch it more. All three of the SAW movies made my jaw drop as they are fantasically gruesome. But they wouldn't be horrors without their gruesome scenes now would they?

Of course if a movie has me reaching for the sick bag then that's a bonus.

Actually the only scenes that make me turn away is scenes involving long close up shots of maggots and bugs. EWWWW!

I usually like to watch - I am a gore fan! It is very rare that I don't look. The only movie that I had to keep stopping and walking around was Long Time Dead. The suspense was such that you had to take a smoke / coffee / loo break every 15 minutes! Cool movie though!!

The only few times I closed my eyes are:

When the guy next to me is playing with himself
Grandparents are making out in the theatre
Michael Jackson revealed his breasts
Bambi decides to give thumper a baby

Other than those 4 times NEVER

Always keep watching. I think I got desensitized to film violence because when I was a young kid my mum used to let me watch 18 rated films. My girlfriend covers her eyes, makes me laugh! At the end of the day its only make up, the fights aren't real and the guns aren't loaded!

No I keep watching, there's no point in closing your eyes because it's not actually happening to you.

i keep watching.... i like to see if it looks real or not ..i'm such a critic when it comes to horror movies and movies in general...i never find any movies scary.... and i always look for mistakes in movies...for example... sometimes you can see the cameraman from the reflction of a car window or sometimes you can see the microphone just above the screen...

if it's scary= close my ears.. if u eliminate the sound effect, any scary movie willbe dull and not so scary anymore.
if it's disgusting = close the tv, or get out of the cinema, unless
you need something to remember during your meal.
