For the past year now i have been receiving prank calls from this number +2348024359959
where the person would phone me 10 times a day but as soon as i go to answer he would hang up.
I say 'he' coz i rang the number and it was a guy with an accent who pretended he couldn't speak english but he kept sending me text msgs in english about God
He stopped phoning me in Aug and started again yesterday where he has rang 13 times and sent me a text msg 2mins ago.
My phone company said they cant block his number :'(
but this guy is annoying the ti ts off me.
What can i do to stop this??
What if everyone on y/a rang this number on the same day..hehe..im sure this would pev him off and hopfully stop bugging me.
But does anyone have any suggestions what i can do?

why not change your phone.. or ask your phone company to block that number

Log the calls. Keep the texts. They are evidence. Report it to the police immediately. This sort of harassment is illegal and can the offender a prison sentance.
If that doesn't work then get yourself a new number from your service provider .
I'm sorry that some of the other answers to this question don't seem to take your distress seriously. It's a real problem that you're having and should be attended to properly. There are some real dead-heads out there. Why don't you report them to Yahoo Answers for abuse.

Get a new phone number. While that is a hassle, what would you rather live with? A one-time hassle of doing that or this guy's continued harassment.
Also, why not quit taking his calls? Do you get charged for receiving a text message? If not, ignore him. He will eventually go away. He is only doing this to get a reaction, so if you quit reacting, the fun goes away for him.

In the United States , prank phone calls can be illegal. The law varies from state to state and the penalty can be as high as prison time.

Contact the police or (if in the US) the Federal Trade Commission. This is harassment.

The number is a Nigerian number (West Africa) , you know anyone there who coulda passed it on somehow??
