There's a guy I know about who was a loser most of his life, and then became an alcoholic. One day, he got cleaned up, started working doing comedy, got a gig writing for one of the most successful TV shows ever, wrote a book based on that, and now has his own TV show. He also got married and has a baby.

You are still young, it is never to late to fix your life anyway.

I took forever to graduate from college because I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I kept switching majors and schools and did not graduate until I was 26.

While in school I met people of all ages some fresh out of high school and some as old as 70. It's never too late to do the things that you want/need to do.

Go out there and do it, don't ever give up; that's the most important thing. Don't let anything stop you from doing what you want to do.
You will be able to get plenty of jobs while you are in college and that will help build your resume so when you graduate you will not only have a degree, but also a work history.

Good luck to you.

I worked two jobs after I left high school and did my up grading(a year and a half). I decided that I wanted to work for a year then go to college. I went back to school and upgraded two courses that I had low marks in at 500 dollars a course. I didn't get into college but I found a job that was willing to take a risk on me and give me a chance. I'm now making more money working at just the one job then I was working the two jobs together. I still work part-time on the weekends because I love teaching little kids to ski.

Depending on what you want to do HURRY up and make your move. In Alberta Canada you age out at 20 and then you have to pay big bucks to finish high school.

think of it this way I paid a $1000.00 to take bio and chemistry (I could have bought a car with that).

You have made the biggest step needed by admitting that so far you haven't done anything positive with your life. It is never to late to start over. Go to the school board in your area, and find out about getting back in school. It will be difficult, but now that you have determined you need a goal, go for it. Good luck.

Why do you feel the need to compare yourselves to others? It's useless because there will always be those better and worse off than you. Take pride in your own life and the fact that you have made some decisions to finally get on track!

Yeah, I did absolutely nothing w/my life until I was 22. Then, I started college and will graduate in a year. Get off your butt and do something productive. Time goes by fast and before you know it, you'll be 40.

My husband went back to college at 27. Even though he is a straight a student, he is disqualified for a lot of scholarships because of his age. But if you asked him, he wouldn't trade those earlier 'bummy' years. So its all in your out look.

I'm sure you're not the only one in the whole world. Think how many people there are. And good luck, the real world sucks.
