The Original is from 1961 by "The Marvelettes" and reached #1 in the Pop Charts as well as in the R&B Charts. On drums was a certain Mr. Marvin Gaye, who became a famous singer by himself later on. In 1975 the title became #1 in the Pop Charts again, this time with a cover version by "The Carpenters". Lil Wayne covered it also and - "The Beatles" too!
