Most male actors such as Cruise, Pitt, Afflec, Damon, DiCaprio seem really queer and lack the personality of old-timers such as DeNiro or Pacino. I think Mel is a real man and he does not look gay when he plays tough roles... Plus he is not afraid to speak his mind and voice the truth...

I love Mel. He is a great actor, and a hunk.
He just needs to be more careful when he drinks and/or talks in public.

Unfortunately Mel got caught saying something very derogatory against Jewish people.
DeNiro, Brando, Nicholson and Pacino will always be on the top of my list for the best actors. But today the actors I most respect are those who take risk they include Johnny Depp, Leo DiCaprio, and Brad Pitt. Mel Gibson can be added to this list for his gutsy choices only. The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto were very bold moves.

I would put Mel in the same nutbag category as Cruise. Afflex is an odd one. Pitt, DiCaprio, DeNiro, and Pacino all pull off the larger than life thing... and they can all act. IMHO

Hard to know because lately all he has done is "act" weird or stupid. We need him to act in movies again! I'd also prefer he kept his personal opinions to himself. And that he'd quit drinking. And making such violent movies.
