Take it back to them and make it their problem! They screwed it up and charged you money. How can they justify doing all that work and charging you and the car won't start.
Clean you battery connections. Make sure they didn't leave a ground wire loose or un attached to the starter.
If you can hear the solenoid click you may want to have someone turn the key like they're trying to start it. And tap on the starter with a hammer. If it starts your starter need to be replaced. if it doesn't. You can take a test light and see if the starter is getting power when you turn the key switch. there will be a big probably red wire that when touched with a test light will light up with or without the key turned on. Then there is a small wire that either has a spade terminal that pushes on to the soleniod on a spade connection, Or a wire that attaches to a small connector that holds the wire on with a nut. from the key switch. It you put the test light in this wire and try to crank the engine and it lights up then you still need a new starter. If it doesn't light up then you need to find out why that wire gets no power when you try to crank the engine.
May just be a loose or broken wire. But I'd still make the shop that did all that work figure it out and do it free of charge!

Make sure that you put all of the wires back on the solenoid when you replaced it. Or but sure that all the connections are tight. If everything is connected properly when you turn the key to start does the solenoid click one time and then click again when you release the key? If the solenoid does not click, then it is either bad or hooked up wrong. If it does click then it is working and the trouble is at the starter. It is either bad or hooked up wrong. Remember just because parts are new or rebuilt, that doesn't mean that they work. You can take a screwdriver and jump the solenoid out and see if it will crank. If it does then it may have a bad ignition switch.

I m having one hell of a time figuring out where the wires go on the solenoid. When I purchased the truck. There was no solenoid or battery in the truck. One of the family members made off with it. Clearly the big giant thick red one from the battery goes on oneside and the one down to the battery does on the other side (4 post solenoid) I have looked online and found countless diagrams and they all say pretty much. All the wire go on the battery terminal side. Is this correct? Can anyone help? Direct me to a page where I can see the correct wiring diagram for 1972 Ford F-100 with the original 360 V*8.

For all you put into it,you should take it back to the shop that did it and ask them why! If,after all their work, everything worked, then you may have a new problem.Apparently you're not getting current to the starter.Check all the electrical connections, clean battery connections, try jumper cables, then cuss and moan alot!

If everything is hooked up right (starter solenoid)
The problem must be in the ignition tumbler.
Try replacing it, and see what happens.

you want a shift modulator to repair the transmission. it extremely is a around merchandise on the top of the tranny, remarkable above the pan. verify to verify there's a vacuum line linked to it, if no longer that could desire to be the subject. verify that vacuum line besides. For the engine, probably a leaky power valve interior the carb. it may desire to be an intensive element hollow, or undesirable choke/choke pull off, yet i could guess that's a leaky power valve. you will could desire to do away with and re-construct the carb.
