I'm on the vodafone network.I don't want to open a text message just yet.It's not to be opened for 6 months

Will it get deleted by the network .Does anybody know?

No, it the message has been delivered to your phone (because your phone was switched on within a few days of the message being sent) then it will stay on your phone until you delete it.

i would say no because the message has now been sent to the phone and in the phones memory not the network, it should stay there forever even if its not opened,

I don't know. Call vodaphone. Or have a trusted friend write the contents down and give them to you in 6 months.
