Being a female and being president of the US is a non-issue. What matters is, can you get the job done? Honestly, it's sexist to say that being a female president is an issue.

If the person is qualified, dedicated to the people and what is best for the country by what the people want, not what the gov't wants. There is a quote here that says it perfectly.

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty". Thomas Jefferson

I don't think it matters whether or not you are male or female. What matters is the way the take care of our country. I hope that next year we will vote someone in that cares about the U.S. and can resolve our problems in Iraq without killing more and more soldiers. :o(

Other countries have them and do just fine, and I'm all for it, but I think the US is emotionally too young just yet. This country needs centuries of maturity in order to catch up to longer-established countries. Right now, it's still a largely undisciplined little kid (231 years vs. 2,000+ years) and isn't going to want to listen to a "mommy." (Too bad)
