Skydiving has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have been skydiving since June of 2006. I went out and did a tandem, just felt like doing something crazy and wild for once, and I absolutely loved it!!!! So much that I became addicted. So I went back a couple of weeks later and did another jump, the first step towards my certification. I finished the certification class, and on this past Saturday I did my 32nd skydive. It is the most amazing experience ever.
I'm a 19 year old full time (16 hours) college student, I have 4 jobs, I pretty much work all week and then on the weekend I get to go to my sancuary..... my dropzone and go skydiving. I have spent close to 3500 so far on skydiving, classes, gear, etc and I don't regret a single penny. It is the best feeling in the world, having a tough week at work/ school, then being able to go ride up in a plane 14000 feet in the air, jump out, and have a blast with my friends!! It is how I clear my head.
A lot of people will tell you not to jump, that it is dangerous, but in reality the drive there is more dangerous than the jump. Think about it- you don't have a backup car, but you have a backup (reserve) parachute!
Imagine falling at the earth at 120 mph during freefall, then being able to float magically down to the ground under canopy. The freefall experience doesn't even feel like you're falling....it's just really windy and such.... make sure to take in the view because baby you're FLYING and you are seeing the world from an angle that very few people get to, and it is beautiful.
Skydiving has saved my life. Before I started skydiving I was in a very depressive state, weighed about 150 pounds, didn't want to deal with life anymore..... Now I love life, I love living, I love being able to jump out of an airplane after my boyfriend, I love sitting in my parachute and steering it towards the ground, I love school, I love work (it pays for my skydiving).... the amazing thing is I did a complete 180 after my first jump.... became the happiest person alive.... and since June I'm down from 150 to 132 pounds, without dietting (I actually eat faaaaaaaar more fast food, pizza, junk food, etc these days because I am on the road so much, and yet, still my same weight ). It's changed my life for the better, and I would reccommend it to anybody, no matter what age.
Go skydiving. You won't regret it. Happy Birthday and let me know how it goes :-)

That was about the time I did it, around 40! I was afraid of heights and wanting to test myself; besides I've wanted wanted to since I was a kid. Did it solo then. Me on the ends of ropes in the airmfloating peacefully down.
But the scariest thing I ever heard was the one-way radio saying,
"Prepare for landing!"
Wait. What am I supposed to do? Stop! Wait!
I learned then, suddenly, that you can't stop gravity. Or time.
Have fun!

Skydiving is the most amazing thing that you can do with your whole body at one time. I highly recommend it to anyone. It changed my life.

that's staggering. i have executed it earlier. The scariest area is probable jumping out of the plane yet I were given to work out the international on the grounds that i become about 17,000 ft up contained in the air. that's intense priced yet properly worth it. I loved it and that i might want to do it lower back any day.

Hell ya! It was awesome...Awesome experience..I would do it again!
I suggest you tandum...that way if you pass out from peer excitement someone is there to get you to the ground safely!( Plus if you need a little extra push out of the plane they will be there to do that)

Yes I have. The anticipation was more exciting than the actual jump. It was nice...not extraordinary.
