Genetic. But it can take people too many years to figure it out because society makes denial a better option for many.

Freud thought sex was THE biggest motivator for all humans and that the stages of development were rooted strongly in childhood reactions. But that did not mean that homosexuals were already predisposed to homosexuality at birth, Freud had a bit of what Skinner would later explain--conditioning, the same learning that Freud described was explainable in more mechanistic and predictable ways. Neither were good at demonstrating a definite path or correlation to the histories or incidence of homosexuality. That then led some to assume that instead of misattachment at puberty as others believe, it began before even Freud and Skinner's area of scrutiny, before birth. The idea of a genetic predisposition, however, has no more proof than any other idea. Humans have a propensity to confound the social sciences at every turn--people with suggested indications and influences don't turn gay and people without suggested indications and influences sometimes do, vice versa. We don't know, but this I do know from personal experience, adolescent boys sure hear from a lot of gay evangelists that put pressure and arguments on their targeted boys that would make a used car salesman proud. Now why would so many homosexuals put on the sales pressure to convince other boys that they too are gay or can become gay--especially since the current notion is that we either are or aren't from birth? Not opinion, but experience fact, I don't care how many thumbs down I get.

It isn't genetic contrary to what the media would like you to believe. Identical twins can have different sexual preference even though they are born with the same genetics. You are correct in that children don't have sexual attraction and it is just PC nonsense to claim that they do. Some research coming out of Berkeley found that mothers with high testosterone during pregnancy (which results in children with higher testosterone) are more likely to have gay children. The higher testosterone tends to cause sexual attraction to occur at a younger age at which point children are more likely to have same sex attraction when given those feelings at a younger age. It is that simple. An 8 year old who has surging testosterone and the sexual feelings that go along with it is more likely to become attracted to other boys than a 13 year old.

you bring up a good point about the fact that as little kids we are sexually attracted to anyone.
So it does raise the question to those people who want to say being gay is a choice, was being straight?
I think who we are attracted to is a natural thing, so in that way we are born gay/straight/bi/or whatever.
it's just that these feelings don't get activated until we hit puberty

No. People are born Male or Female. Sexual identity comes along a little later in life after you've had the chance to experience both sexes (not sexually necessary. But just in general) and then you begin to have preferences, likes, dislikes, wants, desires, etcetera....

There is no simple answer to the question, 'Are some people born lesbian or gay?'
There are some theories which stress biological differences between heterosexual and homosexual adults, suggesting that people are born with their sexuality already determined.

No one is born gay or straight, because when we are young our minds haven't developed yet, but as we grow our attraction mixed with our hormones helps us decided with sex we are attracted to, so no one is born gay/ straight. We choose later in life to be who we are.

I will say NO based on personal experience and revelation. I agree with you about not being attracted to anyone at first. That whole deal kicks in usually with puberty. I liked boys until I was about 19. Then I switched, to my dismay. I was raised a Christian so I knew that this was not right. I spent 8 years feeling like I had no choice in the matter. I hated life, I couldn't stop the feelings I had. Finally I got free through Jesus' help and am now attracted to men. I still find girls appealing, but I know where I want my life to go, and that is not it. I can quickly deflect those thoughts when they come.
The whole homosexuality thing was exposed as a lie from Satan. He planted seeds of that thought in my head and I began to believe them, and once I believed, my thoughts and feelings followed. Only by speaking the truth over and over was the lie defeated in my life.
-------------------------------
Love is fine - but sexual deviance is not. Nobody had to tell me it was wrong, it always came with a horrible guilty feeling. I can't deny my own conscience. I don't have that awful feeling when I think about liking men. Those girls I used to think I was in love with... I still love them, they are very good friends actually. I just don't need to be obsessed with them.
