my sentimental favourite would be Godzilla
but given all the metal and weaponry on OP - he would probably hand Godzilla his ****

Optimus Prime probably would, but not without a fight... Godzilla is a living being and pretty darn smart, to boot. Optimus's motto was "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings' and Optimus may be a little hesitant at first to fight another seemingly-intelligent creature to the death, which he more than likely would have to do to save the city.
A direct assult would not work against Godzilla, Optimus would have noticed that after 'Zilla wiped out the military tanks standing in his way. Optimus Prime would have to be cunning and clever to stop him or atleast distract him, lure him away from the populated areas and into an open enviroment where he could confront the beast with no casulities.
I would imagine that setting up a distraction to keep Godzilla occupied while he was able to get to an area of tactical advantage, where he could get a clear bead on Godzilla's head and take him out with one shot from his laser rifle, cleanly, quickly, and humanely (spelling?). Because Optimus Prime would never inflict a suffering blow on the mosnter.

Even taking into account Godzillas huge size & power I am forced to go with Optimus Prime. I loved Transformers as a kid & am all for the new live action film coming out soon.
Godzilla aint too smart either.

Well, really that would depend on which version of Optimus you would go with. Actually, no matter what version, he is still really really small compared to the Big G.
If Optimus were enlarged, then there would be a fight!!!
Have you ever seen "The Ultimate Showdown"? Godzilla bites Optimus's head off......

On his own i don't think Godzilla could handle the Mighty Prime that is Optimus but if Godzuki was hangin about then the Mighty Prime would be ZUKIED!
