Well if it's been around for 80 million years and we've only found it yesterday it means a lot.
Basically the world is a lot larger place than we think and there are a wide assortment of creatures to discover and study.
Perhaps this will make scientist re-double their efforts for find a "loch ness monster" or peak a child's interest to study biology get his PhD from Harvard and go find "Nessie" himself.
You never know...

There could be a "loch ness type" monster, but not in Loch Ness. You need a lot of the animals for them to survive as a species. The ocean is big enough for all sorts of species we've never seen before to live, but Loch Ness isn't.

yes probly, if fish can live beneath the sea where there is no light. But give it a couple of years. With all the **** that's going in the ocean right now it will be dead. :(

There are plenty of animals that live in caves in complete darkness - insects, centipedes, snails, fish, salamanders, etc. Many of them have gradually lost their eyes and their coloration through evolution.
