with plant and other dyes. I have seen this demonstrated at fairs etc. but have never done it myself.
I am sure google could help with "recipes"!!
The natural colours are lovely.
It involves simmering the fabric for ages as far as I remember!!

They boiled up roots and berries in pots of water and then stuck their clothing in.

Can't help you on which roots, plants or berries though.
Maybe there's a botanist on Yahoo answers somewhere- they'll know.

You don't want much, bring em round to me, I will do em for you. I will use roots and vegetation mixed with water.
