I paid income to a few people over $10,000 and I need to make sure to send out a 1099 but I'm not quite sure how to do this and where to get the forms. Thanks

Many office supply stores will carry these forms or you may be able to download them from www.irs.gov. Just obtain the forms, fill them out (very simple) and mail the proper copy to the people you paid. You only need to send 1099's to people whom you paid over $600 throughout the year to. You need to have this done by January 31st.

Follow this link for instructions and the form itself:

Your local post office will have them in a rack, if not, any accountant will sell you the forms for a buck each.
