If you are between 18-50, have no dependents under 18 in your household, are not working at least 20 hours per week, are not disabled- you can/will be limited to three months of food stamps in a three year period of time (once you use those three months of benefits, in order to qualify before three years go by- you would have to be working 20 hours per week, etc)........

*no, you don't have to pay back food stamps to the gov't if there is no fraud or overpayment due to not reporting a change as required.

U don't have to pay back food stamps.. that's so far from the truth.. The govt cuts ur stamps for EVERYTHING.. If u no longer have kids and aren't disabled, u have to work to keep them.. Amount u get depends on number in household, income, etc.. once the child turns 18..they are old enough to work and they can actually get food stamps in their own name.

When your kids are over 18, they start to reduce your foodstamps. Next year you will have to start paying back the money you took from the government.
