Astrology and Compatibility?

Question

Do you think that astrology is a good way of determining compatibility?

You all have great answers. I am waiting to see what others say before I choose. It will be tough. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Yes, definitely. After reading several astrology books and studying people and their signs you'll see that it's very accurate. It can serve as a great guideline and source of information. I wouldn't live my life by astrology though. Even if your compatibility isn't the best, it only means you have more to learn from and work on in the relationship. Some people will find that more rewarding. I think it can teach you a lot about people, their personalities, and how they connect. Just don't let it guide your choices, trust your feelings, instincts, and best judgement for that.

Imagine saying to someone "if you were born a week earlier we'd be a great couple".

Astrology seem to show bias against itself in the question of compatibility. Birth date is much more important than age differences, education, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or economic stature. Family upbringing or social issues like single parenting or divorce are not a factor.

Also these people (and myself) are complete strangers. Are you willing to risk your relationship just on their say-so? Whether they say yes or no; they hold no resposibility for their actions.

But doesn't assuming compatibility just because of birthday, time and location of birth makes it a form bigotry as well? Since nobody has control when or where they are born; why would you or anybody want to be judged that way?

Yes it is a good way of determining compatibility. You can see initially whether each of you are a fierey person , a watery person, an airy person or an earthly person. Yon also check if any of your planets are linked with any of your partners planets. But remember whatever Astrology says you have the ability to get on with someone regardless by changing your nature.

I think it's a good guideline but nothing something to completely follow. I've never put too much weight into horoscopes and astrology until recently. I've begun to notice patterns with people who have the same sign and born close to one another. They really do tend to have a lot of the same traits. Weird. So if you use it as a guideline, I'm sure it couldn't hurt. But I wouldn't swear by it. Only you know what is best for you. And opposites do attrack sometimes!

many people will cross your path. if you are into the meeting people way of life.

astrology is valueable for realizing 'what is the compatibilities' of one person or patterns of people in your life.

astrology can show that with accuracy and persistency.

if you are seeking what many seek in soul mating. then trust your own feeling awareness and then if it is interests you ask the heavens for the 'why' of relationship. what is the relationship valueability.?

Some people don't see the negative traits
And some don't like to admit to them
Some are yet to experience them : )
