I have a virus on my computer, i have downloaded AVG and it has identified it as a Trojan Horse. What should do i do now? is system doctor a reputable progam?? please help, my home page and everything has been hijacked!!

Two suggestions:
1. Tap on the side of the horse and ask the occupants to come out and go away.

Go to MSconfig under Start --> Run. Follow the tabs to Services and Startup. I reccomend to DISABLE ALL ITEMS UNDER STARTUP. Then reboot your system and do a scan. Otherwise, slave the drive up to another machine and scan it as a slave.

Don't install just ANY anti spayware. That will not help the cause.
Use "zonealarm security suite" it is a complete solution. I'm not guessing but using it since 1-2 year.
Norton tend to make system slow as it is more resource hungry.

find a spyware/virus program that can delete the trojan horse (or put it on quarentine)...yahoo anti-spy should do the trick...download the toolbar at toolbar.yahoo.com and use the anti-spy/anti-virus scan equipped w/ the toolbar to get rid of that horsey!
