You have a few options. If you have a router and both computers have ethernet connections, plug them both into the router, and 'share' the folder(s) you want to move (right click, properties, sharing tab), then on the other computer go to 'my network places', then entire network, then find the workgroup and computer name and copy the files over.
The second option is to buy a USB PC-LinQ cable (google it), that will allow you to connect the computers via USB and transfer files.
A third option (and my favourite for large amounts of data) is to simply pull the hard drive out of the old computer and put it in the new one as a slave drive.

The easiest way by far is simply to open up the old machine, take the hard drive out then connect it to the new machine (along with the hard drive that's already in the new machine). I've currently got two hard drives in my machines, one for file storage and the other for Windows and my applications. Not only will it mean you've got more space to keep things in but if you ever need to reinstall Windows then all your files will remain safe and untouched on the second hard drive while you sort Windows out.

Connect two computer using network, they need to be hooked up to the Internet.
Or you can get a flash card and transfer it.
For networking ask your Internet company. Because it's hard to explain. Or look on google "how to set up network"

If I can do it - anyone can . I'm no expert- but here's what I did :
Turn the old tower around and look at all the plugs until you familiarize yourself as to what goes where . Power down the old PC ; then unplug it . Hook up the new one in the same way and call your service provider and get step by step instructions .
They will walk you through it .
Or- as soon as you hook up there will be options on the screen to get connected and you can just follow them .

You can attach your old hard drive to your new hard drive and move info. that way. Some times the books that come with your computer will tell you how to do it. Mine did. It wasn't hard.

just ask for a cross-over cable. Connect its two ends to the lan ports of ur system. Assign then ip addresses 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 now restart both of them.
Now you can access them using both ip address and name.
type \\192.168.1.1 in the address bar of explorer in 2nd to open it.
if you are having problem, ping to ensure everything is working. for example "ping -t 192.168.1.2" etc

there are special USB cables you can buy that will connect to computers together so that you can transfer information. It's very easy, and not very expensive at all.
