Only kidding. I did work for two summers in America though and many are 'stupid' regarding anything outwith America. I am white and was born near Edinburgh and several times it was commented on that " y'all speak very good English for a foreigner ". I was also asked more than once what part of London Scotland was in. I don't blame the individuals though - obviously their government doesn't believe it's important to teach their children about the rest of the world.

George Bush is stupid and so are the idiots who voted for him both times. Not all Americans are stupid. Of course, you won't see the smart americans on your t.v. or in the papers. We are way to smart for that. Vanity can only bring you down. Just like in any other country. You have some smart people and the rest are idiots. Thank you.

Because it is an easy stereotype to put out there and hard to contest when put in that context. American live in a media controlled society one that allows someone like George Bush to become president without having the minimum qualities to hold the office. It is like they elected someone because he made the best commercials, now six years later see what we have. A unqualified disaster running our country and people look around around scratching their heads wondering what happened. Maybe if people took the time to look beyond the last 30 second sound byte and investigate the substance of the people that we elect, America and Americans would not look so stupid.

Stereotypes exist because there are people out there like them. When i was abroad in Europe those certain Americans shine through really brightly.
