If the cyst has not gone away by my next sonogram, I will have to have surgery. Does anyone know what the risks are of an ovarian cyst this large during pregnancy? Why do I have to have surgery? Will the surgery be vaginally or will they have to make an incision? How likely is it that my cyst will go away? Anyone who has experienced this before, please help. Thank you!

I had cysts with 2 out of 4 of my pregnancies, only one was serious enough tp actually have surgery. I had to have lazer sugery with my first pregnancy. I was about 14 weeks pregnant and my doc thought it was neccesary to have the surgery. I would like to say it wasn't that bad but it was, it hurt like hell. I couldn't be given any pain medicine because of the risk and I was awake the whole time. I had to lay very still and just cry, but in the end it was all worth it, I had a 9 pound baby 6 months later. LOL

I had a cyst in 2 of my pregnancies and was told they were normal pregnancy cysts and didn't need to be removed. These are really questions for your doctor as I know there are a lot of different circumstances and answers. Good luck.
