I have a small mp3 file on my computer that I want as the ringtone for that "Motorola RAZR V3 - Cherry Blossom Tattoo"... I haven't bought it yet (the Razr) but I just want to make sure it will be able to have mp3 ringtones that I can upload myself... Make sense?

Yes, the v3 support mp3 ringtones. As far as how easy is it to do, that depends on the carrier. Some you just upload a mp3 to the phone, go into the media center, select the mp3, click options and finally apply as ringtone. Other carriers you will have to get software(freeware) from sites like www.hacktherazr.com, www.motox.info, www.vxxxstuff.com, www.howardforums.com, ot www.motomodders.net. These sites are dedicated to solving problems and modifying the razr series of phones, even making verizon phone capable of using uploaded mp3's as ringtones

Depends on who your carrier is. If you're getting from Verizon, then the simple answer is no; Verizon completely blocks usage of ringtones outside of their Vcast network. Anywhere else, I think, (not sure about Cingular, but know you can w/ Alltel) you can just upload it with the cord included. What you could do if you're getting a Verizon phone is just put the phone up to the speaker and record the song, those are files able to be used as ringtones. Otherwise, it's a very complex process to get ringtones on a Verizon V3.
