the motorcycle maker went out of bussiness years ago .rumor has it most people that had ridden both harley davidson, and excelsior preffered favored them.the company went bankruptand of recent all patents were purchased by a couple people somewhere out west and they were going to start remanufacturing the.as far as the value of one you may have that is based on who might be interested in it. i,d hang on to it,or if you can,t ride it yourself and are planning to sell it try posting it on ebay.

The original Excelsior-Henderson motorcycles do have high collector value, the NEW version under that name (example the Super X) was made about 1999 to 2003 and are not especially desirable, but some wish a different type( conversation piece) to ride and look for them.

There was a version in the early 1900s that are probably worth a lot now, especially if they're in good shape.
In the late 1990s they made them again for a couple of years and then went bust again. I don't think that the modern machines are worth much now, nor will they be for quite some time.

Like the guy above said, if it's an original old one, most definitely yes. If a modern rebrand, like the Indian crap of recent vintage, not so much.
