Hello,

Somebody sold me a "leather" jacket for $70.
I'm assuming it is probably not authentic leather, but I wanted to know for sure.
Who would be able to verify authenticity of a leather jacket?

Thanks!

Real leather does not burn so hold a lighter to an unobtrusive spot on the jacket (like the end where the zipper tab is) and if it shrinks or melts you have your answer.

My leather jacket has a tag that says "authentic leather". It even smells like leather. Pleather is fake leather (vinyl or leather-like).

Whose jersey is it? I honestly don't know. You could still get lots of money for it and by the way, if it's a game worn jersey don't sell it it's very valuable.

Hold a flame to it and if it melts, it's fake!!!! Good Luck.

you can usually tell by the fabric. try folding it. if it has wierd squiglly lines then it's fake. if it doesn't then it's probabbly real.
