My son has GERD, so a full bottle to him is 5 oz instead of 8 oz. But it's not just formula, it has rice cereal mixed in with it. I know most of the answers I will get will be for a "normal" baby. I'm just trying to get a general idea.

So, with eating three meals a day, how much formula should a nine month old still get?

Nine months should see about 4 or five bottles per day. If the bottle is 5 oz he should be getting that at least four times a day.

My son has 4 - 8 oz bottles, 3 servings of oatmeal, 2-3 servings of veggies, 2-3 servings of fruit, and 2-3 servings of some type of snack like gold fish or gerber stars.

GERD babies are different. My friend's has GERD (she's on a feeding tube). Just go with the flow and as long as your doc isn't worried you shouldn't be either. And, as long as he's growing there is no need to worry.

A general rule is 2 and half ounces for every pound the baby weighs. For instance, my daughter weighs 20 lbs. therefore she should be getting about 42 oz. She will not eat that much. Since she eats three meals a day now and snacks she's only drinking about 20 oz. of formula a day. As long as he's putting on weight steadly and is in a good place on the graph, then he is fine. I would say personally anymore from 20 to 45 oz. a day, but every single baby is different.

My daughter is 6 months, and she drinks anywhere from 25oz to 32 oz a day. You should buy the book " What To Expect In The First Year". I've found it VERY helpful with my questions.

My daughter drinks 3 8oz. bottles a day on top of her cereal and baby food. Every child is different so talk to his doctor.
