I love Glenn Miller, but I was wondering if the biographical movie of his life was truly accurate. The movie was the only time I had heard anything about his personal life outside of his orchestra.

I would say that it is as accurate as any biography of someone considered a hero during that era. It likely skips any 'seedy' details that might be hiding in the closet but is generally an accurate account of his life.

I'm with you on Glenn.

I think the story is fairly accurate although I'm sure some literary license was taken. No one really knows what was said by or to Glenn the day he took off and was never heard from again. Nor does anyone but Glenn and his wife really know the story behind "Little Brown Jug"...

Still it's a great movie about a great composer and band leader.
