Bachelor of Fine Arts...it's an odd hybrid; in theory, a cross between a BA degree and the more conservatory-type approach of a MFA.

Neither one is a terminal degree. For the serious student actor, the best that a good BA or BFA program can provide is enough grounding for the student to know whether further, more intensive training is called for.

The essential difference between a BA and a BFA is that, with the latter, you get a little more concentration in your area of chief interest (whether Acting, Direction, Design, Playwriting, etc.)
