No. Playing Tetris may help with hand-eye coordination. It may help with spatial rationalization. It might also help with planning to some degree, but it will not make you 'smarter' overall.
Playing something like chess would do more, since you often have to think much further ahead.
Playing something like Battlefield or some RTS would help because you are planning, plus developing hand-eye coordination...

I don't know if you could ever in good conscious say that a video game makes you smarter. But Tetris is fun, and it does take some skill and hand/eye coordination to succeed at the game. I personally love it! Haha.

Tetris helps with hand eye coordination, and puzzle solving. It stimulates your brain. If you played it before you study or something, you are more likely to score remember because it helps you with memorization skills. Another thing would be a jigsaw puzzle. Im sure those would help you remember things, it wont necessarily make you any smarter

I think most games can make you smarter in different ways. When it gets harder tho in Tetris yeah you have to think fast and can make your fingers quicker I guess.

I think it helps with hand eye coordination and problem solving. Brain Age is supposed to be a good game for determining how intelligent you are and memory...
All video games involve strategy. They just use different platforms...
