Ignore the people who tell you ghosts aren't real. They are! I've seen a photo my friend's sister took one time & my mom has told me numerous stories of encounters she had when she was younger. One of my sisters also claims to have seen a few. I don't know if it's politically correct to call them "ghosts" though.
Anyways, DO EXACTLY AS MOMMASCHMITT SAID. That is probably the most helpful advice I've seen out of all the answers people have given you here. Just simply telling it to go away doesn't always work, if at all.
If it is not appearing to be harmful or mean in any way then I would not worry too much. Sometimes they can actually be helpful from what I've been told & can even watch over your family. If it DOES in fact seem to want to cause harm & you are fearing for yourself & your family then I would do that research ASAP & find a way to contact those people they show on the Discovery Channel. As much as I love watching all those shows about haunted places (& i've seen numerous ones) out of all of them, the people from Most Haunted on Discovery Channel look to be the most legit. I believe that's the one with the guy who can actually talk to & hear them...the one with the accent & blonde or white hair. (Can't remember cause half the time they're in the dark w/ night vision on.) Try to catch the show sometime & I think they list a way to contact them. If anything, they can always give you other names/lists of people to contact.
I believe you & wish you luck!!!

Kids are supposed to be more open to seeing ghosts so it could be that he is seeing one, I would think he's a bit young for an imaginary friend so it would seem that way. Try to get him to explain what he sees and if he is scared of it. I know it's difficult with him being so young but I would say that's the best thing to do. Generally, most ghosts mean no harm so it could be no problem at all. On the other hand, there could be nothing there and you're just not used to the noises of the house with you being new to it. Is there a chance that the blonde girl outside is actually very much alive and just walking outside? Or could she be explained by some perfectly logical reason? I think there's too many options to explore just yet before jumping to conclusions about a scary ghost. Best of luck.

Have you done any research on your own? Do you know the history of your home? The land it was built on? I would look into that before I paid outrageous fees for a paranormal. Are they threatening you in anyway? Or are you just seeing them? I know you are going to think I am crazy, but talk to them when you see them. If you can get the history first, that would help. If they happened to die there, you might want to tell that there family is no longer there, its time to move on, if they are able to. I personally believe in spirits being stuck between life and death. While there Bodies are dead, the spirit is not, due to a traumatic experience or something. If you can find out who they are, it might explain why they are there. Unless they are doing things to make you uncomfortable, I think I would research first, and then if I needed to call a paranormal, but DO NOT share your research with anyone you call for help. Let them tell you, just to verify their abilities. Good luck, post an update to this if you don't mind. I would love to hear what you find out.

I have never seen a ghost, nor do I ever want to, but I have always worried about this. I wouldn't get a wink of sleep if I were in your situation. I have heard that you can put crosses up in rooms. Also, if you are a Christian, pray for the soul to be freed, perhaps. Like I said, I don't know much, but I do know that I'd be petrified. Go to a search engine and type in "how to get rid of a ghost". Good luck! I hope for the best for you and your family!

For a serious answer to your question, get a sage smudge (a bundle of sage wrapped in string-you can get at new age stores) and light it. Start at the North-most part of your house and in a counterclockwise circle throughout your house walk around with the burning sage and say : "I cleanse this home from all ill and bane." Then, after your circle is completed, go to the place that you most often "see" the ghost. Tell it that it's body has died and that it needs to find the two guides waiting for it and follow them to the light, that it will be safe and feel loved by their guides. You will "feel" it happen when it does (and it only takes a couple of minutes). After you feel it has left, light the sage bundle again and in a clockwise motion, circle the house again, starting from where you left the ghost and say " I bless this home and all within it. As I will it, so shall it be". That should do it. Please do not fear the spirit, it cannot hurt you, especially a child spirit. Speak kindly and sweetly to it as you would a child. I hope this helps you!

There is no such thing as a ghost... demons are responsible for such apparitions and are present for one or more of several possible reasons!?
Something has given reason/permission for this spirit to dwell there:
Something evil has taken place in that home, like a murder or some other violent crime; witchcraft in some form took place there; the home was dedicated to Satan; the home is on some ancient or Indian burial grounds; someone has cursed the home or land; or there's something you or your spouse brought into it. (These are just a few!)
And the only proven method of ridding yourselves of this evil spirit is to do some research, and find a person, (through a reputable Christian church or organization), that specializes in this field.
(And, "NO", I don't mean a Catholic exorcist!!!). It will be a Christian who has this "God-given" gift.
I repeat, "It is NOT a ghost you're dealing with here!"
If you're in doubt, go get some literature on the subject of "unclean spirits", (and the like), and do some up-front research so you know what you're dealing with and where to turn for professional help!!!!
This is "NOT" something you can do yourself!!!

I don't know in which religion you believe. I'm an Orthodox Christian, and in our Church we have the "7 Holy Mysteries". One of them is the "Efcheleo" (in Greek),(others are the Baptism, the Chrism, the Marriage....), a priest prays in the house and blesses the house and the persons who live in it.
He also drops Holy Water in the house. I guess that something like this happens and in Catholic Church ! We often do that, to keep the evil away. I don't believe in ghosts, when someone dies, i think, he goes to an other world (name it heaven, hell i don't know). But if the death happend under weird circumstances evil takes the form of the dead and lives in this place. God wouldn't let souls suffering in a house for the eternity. (sorry if my english are not good)

Go to Yahoo! and type "ghost removal" and a whole list of answers will pop up. It will take some research on your part, though. Also watch that show "Haunted" and the other ones like it on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, History Channel, A & E. They always list the ghost hunters and their credentials.

Are they causing trouble? More than likely your small children have already seen them...they tend to be for perceptive of spirits than adults who are firmly planted in "reality". And you would be surprised how unafraid and unaffected they may be by seeing/speaking with the spirits (that is unless they are harmful or mean).
I think if they are not vicious or malicious, you should try speaking out to them. There are many people who will try to rip you off, claiming to be "cleansers" or something silly. I would talk to them yourself first. If they still don't go away, then I would look for a medium (good one will be really hard to find).
Good luck!

if you want them to leave then say in a firm tone, this is my home, you are dead, now go to the other side and leave this home forever, if you want to know what there names are, do evp's first. get a cheap tape recorder, ask simple questions and pause to give them a chance to answer, once you play the tape back and if you get a name then go to property records to try to see if the name exsists on records, the ghost could be associated with the land only many years ago and there won't be any records of them, some ghosts don't even know there dead and it may take a few trys to get them to leave,i would love to see your photo some time tho, goodluck.
