It's hilarious that you think the highlight of the State of the Union Address was the Subway Superman telling the President, "You're the man." Or the fact that you are in awe that military heroes stood up to support the President's plan in Iraq.
Was this the first time you've ever seen the State of The Union Address? Okay, well here's a little background info for you. The President always has a group or heroes that he commends during the speech and military people always stand up and support their boss. Hopefully you won't be so amazed when you see these things happen next year.

Well, see that's the catch. We are love seeing people happy. But you guys are only focused on a "certain kind of person's" happiness.
Increasing the happpiness of 2 parent working families, by making sure that they could make enough money to stay home with the kids when needed, doesn't seem to register on your happiness radar,
Neither does the extreme happiness from a single working mother with kids too young for school when finally given the support she needs so that she can stay home with the kids until they are ready for school and opening up work time for her without their detriment, who can't afford a babysitter and must work 12 hours a day to make ends meet register on your happiness radar.
Another subset that doesn't blip on your radar, are the plight of the many elderly who must choose between important medications and food.
Yet another group that doesn't register on your radar, are the thousands of innocent Iraqis who are dying, caught in the crossfire created by rich men, for rich men, to make rich men more money.
Or, say, the millions of slave wage workers living and working in human rights violating conditions in other countries to make big corporations more money, when they could still make plenty of money and pay and treat their workers oversees with consumate respect.
See the difference between Neocons and libs, is, neocons only care about the well-being and happiness of a certain select few, Liberals want to see everyone happy, and can see the many many many people whose well-being is currently being trampled on to make more money for already rich people.
