I think you must mean the War of Independence (1775-1783)? The Civil War was Americans fighting Americans (Union Army v The Confederate Army fought 1861-1865, during which 6 million men died). Well, perhaps if the Brits had won the first one, the second one may never have happened and 6 million men wouldn't have lost their lives! Maybe!

The British fought in the Civil War??

I think you mean the Revolutionary War...and no, it would not be better. America has faltered a little as of late, but it's a great country. You wish you lived here...you know you do.

The American Civil war was between the North and Southern States, the war between America and Britain was the war of Independence, it was that one we lost.

Dont you mean the "American Revolution" ? The Civil War was fought between the Northern and Southern Unites States. Personally, I think America would be better in certain ways but , overall, I like the fact that we won.

Since the British were not a part of the Civil War, your question is moot.

I'll assume you mean revolutionary..., I don't think we'd be better off. At some point, like the majority of English colonies, we would've revolted again and won after years of heavy taxation. Aren't we lucky that it happened with statemen like Jefferson, Franklin, et.al. rather thank Hillary, Geo. W., Reagan & Carter.

We probably would've gotten into WWII much sooner though.

Apart from you naming the wrong war then yes, it wouldve been better. The states didnt want to break away from the empire in the beginning, they wanted lower taxation thats all. Perhaps if they had remained a part of the empire they wouldve been there at the start of both World Wars instead of adopting a policy of non-involvement. Twice during the early 20th century they were caught with their pants down and WELL penetrated before they took up arms.
