When I go to pull out the lint trap, it comes out clean, no matter which way I pull it out. I try to be careful and pull it out so the lint will stay on it but it seems to scrape off and falls down into my dryer. We couldnt figure out where it was going until we noticed it blowing out through the vent into my garage. How can I stop this from happening? It is only about 4 months old so its still practically brand new.

First of all I would recommend checking on every load. If you allow it to build up then it can fall off more easily. But if you have tried this approach all ready I would look into the trap hole to make sure there wasnt something in the way that was causing the lint to get pulled off prematurly. If that still dosn't fix the problem I would contact the manafactuer and if its bad design they will have had this question before and know how to fix it. If they can't give you any answers I would try and return it to the store and choose a different model.

Disconnect the white spring shaped vent hose. Take a bent wire coat hanger with the curled end still in tact. The dryer hose sounds clogged with lint. Poke the clipped bent wire coat hanger down the vent hose to remove the clogged lint. Discard lint.
Reconnect cleaned out vent hose to dryer and dryer outlet vent.

Be sure to clean out your dryer lint trap before each new load to prevent this from reoccurring.

They make a lint trap cleaner brush, its long and black, looks alot like a big bottle brush, Home Depot sells them. You probably have a clog down in the dryer vent, which could cause a fire, need to clean it out.

only two possibilities, you are installing the trap wrong, or it is faulty. I would return to the store and have them show you the proper way to insert it. After that I would take it up with the manufacturer.

really it's not connected right,
check with the manufactures hand book ad see if it's right or what you need to do to make it right.
it could start a fire and that's not good.
