Persian food is great! here are some that should not be missed (most of these dishes are served with rice; it's better if it's with saffron rice)

Chelo Kabob
Khoreshe Fesenjoon (duck/chicken cooked in a sauce made of pomegranate paste and ground walnuts)
Khoreshe Karafs (stew of celery and parsley, often with lamb)
Khoreshe Ghorme Sabzi (stew of various herbs with dried lemon)
Aush (a thick kind of soup with many herbs)
Kashke bademjoon (an eggplant-based dish similar to babaghanoush, but with a dairy product called Kashk that makes it sooo delicious)

Yes, & I LOVE this food. In U.S., Middle Eastern, Greek & Mediterranean foods tend to be combined at restaurants. But one restaurant here in Chicago puts its cuisines under Persian as well. I love that these cuisines are so healthy & tasty. I never pick favorites, though.

Hell yeah! My uncle is Iranian. i like the lamb with the golf eco-friendly sauce, the eggplant and poultry with dried lemon issues and cucumber sauce. notwithstanding the most acceptable is the crunchy rice on the bottom of the pot.
