The old remedies of chicken broth and crackers, along with plenty of other liquids. Eat very very light foods for 2 to 3 days, stay away from lactose products, with the exception of warmed dry toast with a slice of cheese melted on top of it. Also eat popsicles often to keep yourself hydrated and as another answer says drink powerade drinks like gatorade or wter with added electrolytes. If you can stomach pepto bismol try it too. If it is just a normal stomach viral flu your symptoms should pass in a few days to a week. If you have sinus or drainage from congestion that could make your stomach symptoms worsen so take a product called Mucinex to help rid that part of the problem. Plenty of added sleep or rest also will help tremendously.

Call your pediatrician or the 24-hour ask -a -nurse hotline to make sure that she isn't dehydrating.
Can't cure it but you can help reduce her discomfort. Give her small sips of pedialite type product or ice chips regularly to keep her hydrated (most important).
Next, there a products that you can get over the counter that will quell nausea (high sugar content, ask your pharmacist). If she also has diarhhea, don't use because the sugar makes diarhhea worse.
Until she has stopped throwing up, stay away from food, as long as she is hydrated, she'll be fine.
Reintroduce foods slowly, and use the BRAT diet first (bananas, rice, applesauce (NOT juice), and toast) These are high in fiber and bland enough to "stay down." Good luck.

No. If she has a bug, it just takes time for it to run it's course and leave your body. There are no medications for it. Let her stomach rest. Don't give her anything to eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after she last vomited. If she doesn't vomit again in that time, then you can give her some ice chips. If she keeps that down for 30 minutes, then she can have sips of water. If she starts throwing up again, you start all over. Time is the only cure.

Its all about the waiting game since its going to take time to work out of her system.
The next 24 hours:
Water and gaterade only. If it comes up, just go with small spoonfulls at a time. No solid food.
Then for the next 12 hours:
Liquid meals like soup or jello, ect. Make sure that its very low in the way of spices that may anger the stomach.
Then for 24 hours after that:
Go for the very bland diet. This means brans, rices, crackers, bread, and stuff like that.
Then she should be all set and feeling good.

I don't know where you live, but where we are the is a virus spreading around, that includes violent vomitting and/or diareah, lasts about 12 to 15 hours, then a couple of days of tiredness, there isn't much you can do about it but wait it out, sip water to keep dehydration at bay, if vomitting persists longer maybe see a doctor. I hope she feels better soon, my whole family got it as well. Make sure everyone practices good hygene, and wash everything that your daughter wears and sleeps on or with to minimize the spread of the virus.

The best thing to do is...not eat! I don't think there is any type of medicine that would help a stomach flu. If she is doing ok with just liquids, than stick to that for now. In a day or so, try dry toast or crackers to see if it will stay down and take it from there.
good luck!

Its called Etimol. I think thats how its spelled. Go to your local pharmacy and they will point you in the right direction. It stops vomiting. That way your girl can eat something. You take it every 5 to 10 minutes untill the vomiting stops. Its great stuff!
My boyfreind had that a while ago and it sucks. This stuff if guaranteed to work.

Stay away from dairy products and sugar. Give her plenty of natural apple cider 1/2 mixed with water. Lots of fluids and soups that have no cream and plain saltine crackers.
Then, her immune system will take care of it.
Understand that it's not the virus making her sick, it's her immune system getting rid of the virus through vomiting and the runs making her feel sick.
It will pass, but don't feed her anything like ice cream or yogurt as her digestive track will be aggravated and she will throw up again.

You can't cure a virus, it has to run it's course. Give her lots of fluids so that she doesn't become dehydrated because of the vomiting. Then try to place her on a BRAT diet, start her off with bananas, and if she can hold them down, give her a little rice, and if that stays down try apples, then dry toast. Really, you should call her pediatrician for more indepth instructions

This is going to sound awful, but it really works for me when I have the flu. Given to me by an old boss of mine -- I was sick at work and he went to the store to get me this!!
Take any flavor jello and make according to directions ( I would NOT use red, until you are sure she will not throw up - stains) and sip the warm jello liquid.
I know this sounds weird, but it really worked on me. Thought I was going to throw it up, but made myself hold it in and in a little while -- much better.
