I'm thining about upgrading to a Razor phone?

Question

I have heard some negative comments about this phone. What are your thoughts?

I have the black RAZR from launch..so it's not nearly as good as the new ones (that have video capture). Honestly as a phone it works great, you gotta remember what it's for. The size..it's a little wide, but because it's so thin..it more than makes up for the width. And the height is the same as most phones. I've had mine almost 2 years, no major problems. Works great. the new ones have a 1.3 megapixel camera, so that's definitely nice. Other than that..i mean..it's a great phone..especially for the price these days ($50-free). Im waiting to get the Apple Iphone in a couple months, but thats because i want easier browsing capability..but just remember..a phone is a phone..and a RAZR is great one. there's a reason why it's #1 and so many companies offer it.

Rundown:
Battery life: Works great, just keep the general rule only charge when you need to
Phone quality: great like all other phones
screen: good, but smaller than say bigger phones for internet browsing
camera: the newer v3i RAZR has the 1.3 megapixel camera w/video feature that should be good
durability: I've dropped mine opened and closed like 10-20 times..barely any scratches and works like a charm. and if ur worried there are many cases and it'll still be thin

I think the only major drawback is...everyone has the RAZR so if you're all about being the only so and so out of ur group with so and so phone..maybe not for you.

I know a few people who've had problems with them...software glitches and what not. But I've not had a problem with mine. and I got mine used from my father (so it's about a year and a half old)

A friend of mine had a problem with the battery not keeping it's charge, but that was easily resolved through their service provider. Pretty much something that could happen to any phone. Electronics are never perfect, and there will always be glitches no matter what you get.

The only other problem I could think of is being rough with the phone. I've dropped mine several times, and it's held up fine. But I honestly don't think it could withstand much more than being dropped. It's certainly not as sturdy as some phones.

I personally really like my Razor. It's slim and can pretty much fit anywhere. (sometimes I forget about it because it's so small though!) It's got a lot of good features, you can use a blue tooth headset if you want to talk "hands free". Over all it's a decent phone. You wouldn't see everyone and their mom with one if it wasn't. ;)

I love mine. I have no problems with battery life at all...in fact its battery life is better than the chocolate (which I personally hated). Its easy to see, fits everywhere a "smaller" cell would. After having a total of more than 6 cell phones (loooong time cell user), this is by far my favorite. FYI, I've had the Razr from T-Mobile (old provider) and my current one, Verizon.

2 of my friends have the razor.... one has it with cingular and the other verizon. they both have had to change their batteries at least twice, because even when it is on a full charge they only get about an hour of talk time.
i have also heard that problem from other people.... i would suggest you keep looking. try something from lg. i have a chocolate lg and it is great!

The razr is great. I've had one since August and have had no problems. I love the large screen. The camera and video camera come in handy, for those "wish I'd brought my camera moments". I've dropped it a few times, still no problems

it was the worst phone i have ever had, i had to get a new phone Because the bat. will not stay charged, i use the black berry pearl and i love it, i can stay on top of all my e-mailing from my phone. good Luck
