It would help to know what you are complaining about. However, one tip is to think before you open your mouth. Ask yourself if what you are about to say is constructive or destructive. Is someone going to be hurt. Is it even necessary. Is it just petty. Is it going to help your relationship or just break it down more. Complaining and complaining can be a form of emotional abuse which could explain why your sweetheart wants to have time away from you. For each complaint come up with a compliment. Keep doing this till you have more compliments. Don't forget to also build up your own self esteem. When you have something that really needs to be talked about, find a special way and time.

It sounds like you are very young, that sould be reasonnumber one that you don't appreciate things. Don't worry, as you get older that will change. For now, try keeping a gratitude journal. Write whatever you can think of that you are grateful for and do it before you go to sleep at night. It may sound like a small thing, but it really works. You will soon start seeing a whole new outlook on life and especially toward the people in your life who love and care about you.
How about doing some volunteer work and helping others less fortunate. There are so many people out there who have much less than we do, and yet, they are happy and not complaining. It is a choice that each of us can make. You can do it too, but start by helping others less fortunate.
I am older than you I am sure. Trust me when I tell you that with time, you start to really appreciate things/people around you more. People die, accidents happen, you lose money and jobs, you lose your health, you lose a dear friend, etc. Those things all work together to make you a more grateful person for what you do have. Life is short. It goes much quicker than you think. Please try to be grateful that you have someone that cares about you enough to make you start to see areas in your life that need changing.
You are taking the first step by asking us how to do so. Now go do it! Good luck!

Are they legitimate complaints? If so, then I don't see a problem. But, if you are just complaining for attention or no reason at all, then yes, that can be extremely irritating. It is no fun to be around someone who is negative all the time. People enjoy being around other people that make them feel good. Remind yourself of that next time you find yourself starting to whine. And remember, you should never want to change for somebody else; make yourself happy first and the rest will follow.

Start counting your blessings for a change. Start small-- did you get out of bed this morning on your own? Lucky you. Some people can't get out of bed. Do you have both legs, arms and eyes? Good. Wait- did you have a bed in a room to sleep? Some don't. Be grateful. You have heat and electricity? How nice! You brushed your teeth with water and had breakfast? More than some. You have clothes and shoes? You have makeup and shampoo? You had a shower? Be grateful.
Look around- start appreciating how much you have. Start being grateful. Start taking joy in small things. Consider yourself lucky for a change and stop acting like a brat.

I use to complain a lot and this is what I do when I feel myself getting pissed and start to mouth my opinions. I repeat the serenity prayer over and over again in my head until I forget why I was annoyed in the first place. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change and the ability and knowledge to change the things that I can." Now, I'm not religious in any way, shape, or form BUT try to concentrate on repeating that over and over again in your head and you'll be distracted from everything else. Try to understand the words. You can't change situations and people but you can change the way you react to things.

be fore you complain - stop and find something positive about it or weather you say it or not. There is always something positve about any situation no matter what it is. Try testing yourself and walk around looking at things - and tell yourself one thing positive... it is sure to help change the way you think.

he seems to be annoyed by you and you both seem to be of a young age-- I would honestly suggest taking a break from him.
As far as stopping yourself from complaining-- the best advice i can give you is to be humble and not selfish, then you will have nothing to complain about.
Remember- being positive is the best thing you can be.

baby girl, complaining is a sign of negativity. no one really like to be around negative people. think twice before you say anything; see things in a possitive note. say only things that will compliment or humble yourself. a positive out look of life, will draw others closer to you.

start by keeping a journal of good things in your life. Make yourself write at least one a day and build up as you can. This will help you to look for the good and then it will start showing to your boyfriend and others.

Just stop, when you feel the urge to complain remember the outcome and that it doesn't help the situation but make your boyfriend angry.
