My husband is the first person I call (assuming we're not home at the time) followed by my brother and sister-in-law then my sister. Sometimes I call a friend or two, but I'd rather complain to family first.

Phone the speaking clock................. you can rant about your crap day all you like , slag off who you want, moan about the injustices you have suffered during the day, and you will never get a argument back, as far as a minor emergency is concerned nobody really gives a hoot about the minor things so tell that to the speaking clock also, you will must likely feel better for doing that cos if you phoned someone else they would properly roll there eyes back and say " is that all he has to worry about", most importantly whilst speaking to the clock time has moved on and you don't feel so bad after all !!!!!!!!

Either it's an emergency - call emergency services, or it's minor - don't bother.
Call if I've had a bad day... people in the phone book with stupid sounding names and mock them.

Crap day - no one. I go home, take a shower, pour a glass of wine, and turn the phone off.
Minor emergency - one of my sisters. I've got four. Generally, one of them will know how to fix it.

Me i phone my hubby who is normaly in the next room.Parents dont speak to me and i am lonely for friends.Where we live dont make it easier.....Please dont call NHS direct, you might aswell talk to the samaratans....
